BABBACOMBE march on at the top of the F Division after they won by 112 runs at Woodbury.Steve Lewis hit an unbeaten 134 and skipper Steve Broad chipped in with an unbeaten 54 as the leaders declared on 231-3. The pair put on 105 after Lewis and Macus Tanton had opened up with 60.
All three visiting wickets were taken by Woodbury skipper Kev Miller.
James Kavanagh (38) and Tim Greenslade (26) were the only home batsmen to last for any length of time as Tim Goodwin took 5-37 and Dave Williams picked up 3-15 as Woodbury were bowled out for 109.
Lewis, who joined Babbacombe from Barton this season, had not scored a ton before.
Babbacombe captain Steve Broad said he was proud to be at the other end when Lewis reached his milestone.
“It was a big moment for Steve as well,” said Broad. “His father and grandfather both played for Babbacombe so he could be excused for feeling a little emotional.
Babbacombe are 25 poonts clear at the top of the table, but from one game more than chasers Kingskerswell.
“If Kerswell win against Cullompton our lead will be reduced,” said Lewis.
Kingskerswell sit second after they were 63-run winners at Cheriton Fitzpaine.
Eric Greggerson top scored with an unbeaten 59 as Kingskerswell closed on 151-9.
Cheriton skipper Ben Coe claimed 4-24 from 143overs.
Jim Cutler was the only Cherries batsman to make much progress, top scoring with 22 as Steve Lacey claimed 3-20 and the other wickets were shared around with Cheriton bowled out for 88.
Home skipper Coe said: “We were good in the field and with the ball but then let ourselves down with a very poor batting performance.”
Chelston, who have two games in hand on Babbacombe, lost ground when they lost by 53 runs to visitors Yarcombe.
Simon Durrant (38) and Billy Reed (35) together with Matt Barnacle (20) led Yarcombe to their all out total of 151.
Jeremy Hawkins claimed 4-29 for the hosts who were then bowled out for 98 with only Kazimierz Syzmanski (24) sticking around for long as Rex Helston claimed 4-9 from seven overs and skipper James Mitchum picked up 3-15.

Chardstock bagged their first win of the season with a 64 run triumph at Culmstock. Jack Larcombe hit 54 and Richard Pyman struck 52, the pair putting on 115 for the fifth wicket as Chardstock were eventually bowled out for 169. Marcus Busch (4-36), Adrian Howells (3-33) and Ross Stickland (3-46) shared the wicket taking duties for Culmstock who were then bowled out for 105 with only Neil Hussey making an impression with 23. Rob Blackwell (3-21) and Rob Hutchings (3-24) were the key wicket takers.
Sanjay Rajapakse produced the Man of the Match performance to guide Cullompton to a double triumph over Newton St Cyres. Rajapakse hit an unbeaten 59 whilst young Max Bristow weighed in with 31 in a Cully total of 192-9. Martin Pearce bowled superbly to finish with 5-40 from 13 overs for the visitors who were then bundled out for just 63 with that man Rajapakse claiming 3-7 from a dozen overs, eight of which were maidens! Malcolm Paiva sent down three overs and finished with two wickets and did not concede a single run!
