Some of the Axminster Town award winners with their cups and mementos
GARY Larcombe cleaned up with four awards at Axminster Town’s end-of-season dinner and presentation evening at Cloakham.
Larcombe was 1st XI batsman and bowler of the year, which inevitably meant he was the all-rounder of the year as well.
Larcombe was also the players’ choice as their player of the year.
Club president Les Haynes acted as master of ceremonies for the evening when 70 members and friends enjoyed an excellent buffet provided by Mrs Lesley Bicknell and her helpers.
Guests included Josh Dutfield, managing director of Axminster Carpets, Chris Friend, treasurer Cloakham Lawn Sports Centre, Ian Hall representing Millwey Rise AFC and Mrs Wendy Hayden from the Lady Taverners.

Cavalier Shield (1st XI player of the year): A Wraight
2nd XI player of the year: M Felgate
3rd XI player of the year: A Whitehouse
1st XI player player of the year: G Larcombe
2nd XI player player of the year D Fuzzard
