LEWDOWN have brought in South African pacer Marco Marais as their overseas player for the season ahead.
Marias, who has played a handful of First Class, one-day and T20 games for Border, won’t be 20 until October.
He replaces Rob Mutch, the South African who has assisted Lewdown for the past couple of seasons and was ‘borrowed’ by Somerset to play against Scotland in the CB40 competition last season.
Harry Gearing is the new captain, replacing Charlie Hughes who carries on as a player.
Gary Sizmur – comfortable opening the batting and the bowling – has arrived from Chagford.
And Sam Ewen has come over from E Division outfit Bridestowe.
Lewdown finished fourth last season in the B Division and will be looking to go higher in 2013.
Lewdown are at home to Shobrooke Park this Saturday.
