DEVON Cricket League rules and MCC laws of the game are changing this season – and the men in the middle want to make sure clubs know all about it.
DACO – the Devon Association of Cricket Officials are holding an open meeting at Barton CC on February 6 (7.30pm) open to all clubs in the South Area, which covers, Teignbridge and Torbay.
Chris Shelton, the organiser of the meeting, said the meeting is open to anyone with an interest in cricket as well as club officials.
“We want to discuss the new DCL playing regulations and the new MCC laws, which will affect most of the cricket played in the South Area this season,” said Shelton.
“We wish to invite all DACO members, all clubs in the area to send their umpires, scorers, colts’ managers, captains and or senior players.
“Our intention is to discuss issues arising from the changes in laws and playing regulations, raise concerns and generally to try be as helpful as we can to enable the game to move forward.”
Shelton and Dave Moseby - both Premier Division umpires – will be there to answer questions. So will Nick Evanson, the scorers' representative on DACO.
