GLEN Querl and Jamie Overton teed up North Devon for a hefty 196-run win over Bradninch as the Premier Division title race starts to get interesting.
North Devon went from 96 for three to 204 for four during a stand of 108 between Querl and Overton, whose fun ended when Gary Chappell had him caught behind for 72 off 49 balls.
Querl went on to make 136 not out in a North Devon total of 313 for six. He shared in another stand of 90 with Matt Westaway (29).
Bradninch were all out for 117 in reply with the same trio doing the damage. Querl (2-27) took early wickets, Westaway bagged four in the middle then Overton performed the hat-trick on Dan Milligan, Billy Wakeley and Paul Nott to wrap it up with nearly 20 overs to go.
North Devon are up to third behind Exmouth and leader s Bovey Tracey, who won at Heathcoat and Torquay respectively.
Trevor Anning *64no) and Dave Lye (55) helped Exmouth reach 250 for nine agains t Heathcoat, who were all out for 194 in reply.
Bovey's Neil Hancock made 85 in a total of 201 for six, then took three for 26 as Torquay were limited to 143 for eight in reply. Joe Thompson (45no) top scored for the losers.
Bob Dawson's five-wicket haul helped Budleigh snatch a five-run win with three balls to spare at Sidmouth.
An unbroken last-wicket stand of 63 between Ryan Glass (58no) and Simon Ashplant (10no) came just too late to prevent Sandford losing by nine runs to visiting Plymouth.
