Dear Play-Cricket Administrator,

Two weeks in and the new Play-Cricket system has seen lots of new powerful websites for your clubs and leagues. We continue to iron out the initial teething problems, and make significant improvements to the site. We are also making contact with people that we haven't yet managed to help.

As per last week's email (which can be viewed here), we have resolved a number of issues that you may have experienced:

News, documents and photos
We mentioned in the previous email that it was taking longer than expected to transfer news and documents and also that a bug had come to light in the document and news filter functions. I can now report that all news and documents from your old site have been successfully transferred to your new site, and the filter bug has been fixed.

Logging in to view statistics
We described that we had added a security constraint that required users to log in to view more detailed statistics. This has now been removed and all users are able to access detailed statistics regardless of whether they are logged in or not.

Viewing all players
We reported that there was an option missing on the filters on the statistics page to enable you to view ‘all’ players, limiting you to a maximum of your top 100 club players. This has now been remedied.

Internet Explorer 9 compatibility
We applied a fix last Thursday that solved the problems with users being unable to view their sites with some instances of Internet Explorer 9.

Emailing from the site
We also applied a fix last Friday which solved the problems that some of you were experiencing when emailing from the Play-Cricket website.

Hyperlinks to other sites
Last week we reported that there should be hyperlinks to enable you to go to various leagues, clubs and teams when they are mentioned when viewing scorecards, fixtures, results and statistics. You are now able to do this.

Welcome messages
We have released a new template which you can apply to your site which incorporates a lot of the feedback we have received in the first two weeks. This template, if applied to your site will give your site a 'standard' look and feel similar to your old Play-Cricket site, and will be especially useful to you if you have not yet customised your site and/or have no intention to do so. The template is available in the Sitebuilder under Site > Copy Template. Of course, if you have already modified your site, then you may have no need to apply the new template.

Since last week, a couple more issues have come to light which are now being worked on.

Regenerating 2014 fixtures from the 2013 season
At present you are only able to generate seasons from 2012, and not 2013. We are working on a fix for this to be released in the next week or so.

Competition bonus points
There is an issue with bonus points not showing in the League tables. This is scheduled to be fixed in the next week or so.

We continue to work on bringing forward the implementation of the administrators forum, and we continue to populate your photos into your photo galleries.

Hints and Tips
If you would like to add a Twitter widget to your page, it is very straightforward. You must go to the Twitter website at twitter.com/settings/widgets and design your widget and this will create some code that you can cut and paste into an HTML widget on your Play-Cricket website.

Please continue to let us know how you're getting on and if you experience any problems please call the Play-Cricket Helpdesk at play.cricket@ecb.co.uk.
