SIDMOUTH 2nd XI took advantage of Exeter being rained off against North Devon at the County Ground to thrash Cornwood by nine wickets and install themselves at the top of the Premier table.
Cornwood were all out for 122 in a 42-over game, former Devon pair Duncan Boase (42) and Dave Tall (240 making the only scores of note.
Declan Lines (4-28) and Charlie Dibble (2-24) were both on hat-tricks but couldn’t join up the gaps as Cornwood collapsed.
Sidmouth raced to victory in 20 overs, only losing skipper Matt Hewer (32) along the way. From 72 for one Sidmouth were seen home by Zac Bess (24no) and brother Luke (59no).
