TORQUAY continued their winning return to the Premier Division with a narrow 14-run win at Exmouth.
With Trevor Anning and David Lye bagging three wickets each for Exmouth, there were question marks over Torquay's total of 172 all out.
Brandon Handley made 46 at the top of the order, Tim Western chipped in with 34 and here were add-ons from Nick Watkin (20) and Joe Thompson (24).
Exmouth made a nightmare start in reply- they were two for two with both openers back in the hutch, but consolidated through Lye (32), Andy Buzza (22) and Lawrence Greenway.
Torquay kept chipping away though and with Aqeel Ahmed (3-29) and Nick Watkin (2-31) getting into the lower order Exmouth were all out for 145.
Bradninch won for the second week in a row as they emerged 77-run winners from the derby clash at Heathcoat.
Ross Acton led a solid Bradninch batting effort with 51 - he and Tim Piper put on 101 after going in first - and with James Street (43) and Matt Golding (42) weighing in a 50-over total of 204 for four was posted.
Heathcoat looked comfortable up o 83 for two when Bradninch turned to spin and their middle order caved in.
Five wickets fell for 10 runs added as Gary Chappell and Will Squire ran amok and with Dan Milligan knocking over the stragglers Heathcoar were all out for 127.
Bovey bowled Plymouth out for 109 in a four-wicket win, but found knocking off the runs anything but straightforward.
At 46 for four in reply Bovey were wobbling, but Dilon Mullins kept a cool head to make 44 not out and completed the chase with Andy Fairbairn (14no) for company.
Earlier, there had been three wickets each for Bovey's Chris Bradley and Charles Hill, who was playing against his former Plymouth team-mates for the first time.
Chris Barr - one of Bradley's victims - was the only Plymouth batter to get past 20.
North Devon's wobbly start to the season continued when they were 23-run losers to Budleigh Salterton.
Glenn Querl (3-23) tied up one end for North Devon and stand-in captain Matt Westaway (1-22) was miserly at the other, but too much loose stuff allowed Budleigh to make 210 for eight.
Sri Lankan Gammy Amarasinghe top scored on 57 and there were runs for James Burke (44) and Eliot Rice (45).
North Devon lost opener Richard Screech to Amarasinghe (5-33) in the first over, but got back in course with Mark Ansell (21), Rob Ayre (49) and Querl (38) taking the score along to 105 for three.
The slide started when Querl fell to Lloyd Murrin (3-46) and Amarasinghe came back to blast out the tail as North Devon folded to 187 all out.
Sandford remain winless after going down by 12 runs to Sidmouth.
Zac Bess (48) and Sam Anderson (40) were Sidmouth's main run getters in a total of 217 for nine.
Wickets were shared around with skipper Matt Theedom (3-18) having the best return.
Sandford were looking good at 96 for two - Theedom (40), Neil Bettis (22) and George Greed (36) getting on with it, but lost their way against the slower bowlers.
When Richard Foan went for a brisk 33 Sandford's chances dipped and with Matt Cooke taking the last couple of wickets the home side bowed out for 205.
