BARTON carried off the Pro-Direct T20 trophy last night when then beat Paignton by five-wickets in the final at Queens Park.Paignton failed to make it through to the end of their 20 overs – Damon Calland (3-12) and Stuart Bowker (2-7) doing much of the damage. Three run-outs didn’t help.
Best of a sorry set of scores was Seb Benton’s 18.
Barton’s chase didn’t start that well – they were 38 for four – but a stand of 30 between Andy Hele (14no) and Rashmi Jinan (30) signalled the end for Paignton,
