South Devon indoor league entry deadline this Friday!

Indoor League back in the South

The deadline is looming for teams wishing to enter the South Devon indoor league this winter. The competition will commence on Sundays before and after Christmas starting on the 6th November.

The indoor game is 6 a-side, 12 overs per innings and lasts approximately 75 minutes. It is a short, sharp version of the game that is great fun and keeps teams together through the winter months as well as providing fantastic development opportunities for young players.

Geoff Coish has kindly agreed to administer the league voluntarily and he requires entries by the 21st October (this Friday) in order to finalise fixtures before the first round of games.
  

There is no limit on the number of teams you can enter but please be sure that you have the number of players available (six per team). Players will be permitted to play in a higher team to accommodate shortages but first team players will not be able to play in a lower team on more than one occasion, this will be carefully monitored. The rules will be as recommended by ECB for indoor cricket.

 

Each player will pay £4 per game (i.e. £24 per team payable on the day to the Sports Centre staff) Clubs failing to fulfil a fixture will be responsible for paying the centre anyway.

 

To summarise, simply send Geoff an Email (admin@devoncricketleague.co.uk) letting him know how many teams you wish to enter and the contact name for the competition before this Friday!
