TOPSHAM St James put the trials and tribulations of last season behind them at the club’s annual awards evening.
The 1st XI and 2nd XIs finished bottom of their respective divisions in the Francis Clarke Devon League.
There were some notable performances during the season, among them Dan Armstrong’s five for 24 bowling figures against Kingskerswell, which won him the1st XI bowling prize.
Charlie Penn with 17 league wickets was bowler of the season.He also won the President's Cup, handed to him (pictured) by John Evans.
Batter of the year with 331 runs was Ross Treleaven – which included a century against Cullompton.
Nick Horne was player of the season and also won an award for the innings of the season. He made 76 in a stand of 111 with Tamer James against Kilmongton to swing the prize his way.
Brian Jerry was the 2nd XI player of the year. Aaron Clarke’s 224 runs earned him the batting award.
Rudi Ellis took the bowling award for bagging 15 wickets.
Al-Amin Kassam was honoured for scoring a century against Kenn.
