Devon head into the Bank Holiday weekend fixtures with Wales at Sidmouth and away to Somerset at Taunton Vale in a strong position after victories over both Essex and Durham.There are some changes to the side that took the field during the first round of fixtures for the game as Sidmouth on Sunday and Taunton Vale on Bank Holiday Monday.
Overseas player Hannah Linton has had to return home, she hopes to be back for the Ireland game on June 21, whilst seamer Phoebe Graham is unavailable having had to return home early to Yorkshire from her studies at Exeter University.
Former Sussex off-spinner Becca Silk will make her county championship debut having been unavailable for the earlier games with BUCS Athletics commitments.
Bryony Butcher, who made her debut against former team Essex earlier in the season, stays n the team. She is the daughter of former England cricketer Alan Butcher and her brothers are Mark Butcher (ex-Surrey and England) and Graham Butcher (England U19, Glamorgan and Surrey).
The team still looks strong for both days with Ellie Ingham-Hill coming into the squad for the Monday fixture at the expense of Lydia Clements who has revision work.
A strong showing this weekend will leave the Devon girls well placed to occupy one of the two promotion places with four of their eight 50 over fixtures complete.
