Devon Ladies Squads announced for season openers against Ireland and Worcestershire.
Devon Women are forced into blooding some of their talented youngsters for the opening weekend of the county championship which begins on Sunday with the visit of Ireland to the Recreation ground at Torquay. There are long term injuries for both skipper Jodie Dibble (shoulder) and leading wicket taker from last season Hazelle Garton (knee). Coach Warren Carr has a lot of belief in his young charges and fully expects them to be more than capable of giving a good account of themselves. It is not an easy time for selection with exams also around the corner so squad rotation is the key which gives opportunities to all of the squad to stake a place for the remainder of the summer.
