Keith, a greatly respected Devon League player, captain and coach, had a distinguished fifteen year County career, and was considered by many a sound judge, not only in Devon, to have been sufficiently talented to have made a successful First Class cricketer. Keith was a key member of Peter Roebuck’s outstanding championship winning sides with an impressive career record of 249 wickets in 132 appearances in all competitions. He also represented the British Police, was selected for the Minor Counties Representative XI, including a tour to South Africa in 1994.
James Burton is a highly experienced Chartered Physiotherapist (BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy MCSP HPC AACP). He is also registered with the Health Professions Council, currently works at Ocean Physio + Rehab (a leading Sports physio clinic), and two days a week in the NHS.
James has worked with professional cricketers at Surrey CCC, and treated members of Parliament and is Physiotherapist for Devon CCC and Devon Lions.
Peter Lever is the bowling coach to both Devon CCC and the Lions. He played for his home county, Lancashire, throughout his county career and played for England on 17 occasions at Test level. Following an outstanding career he was invited to become the England bowling coach by Ray Illingworth a role he carried out with great distinction. Peter is very happy to pass on his considerable knowledge and experience to our young bowlers at County and Lions level and his experience is greatly appreciated.
In addition to his role as one of the County scorers, Peter also acts as Team Analyst for both Devon CCC and the Lions. The information he provides to the other support staff is invaluable in monitoring the performances of Devon League players on a weekly basis, and on match days he provides ball by ball statistics for the coaches, captain and players.
